On the RH bill issue

Tj, a.k.a. my boyfriend, a.k.a. Mr. Clever Clogs, has finally managed to swallow his anger long enough to write something on the RH bill debacle we’ve been having in the Philippines. Check it out here. I myself have plenty of things to say about it, but to sum it up, to those who are worried that the bill will promote promiscuity, spawn a morally bankrupt populace, and bring about the downfall of the Filipino family, you only have to watch “Face to Face” to know that regular people are ALREADY fornicating like hell, stealing or cheating on spouses, and having kid after kid with different people. Better yet, take a look at our politicians.

And again, information on the RH bill. Read it. Several times. And one more time. There’s nothing in there about killing babies, and the sex education part is pretty awesome–EVERYONE, not just young people, should learn these:

(a) Values formation;
(b) Knowledge and skills in self protection against discrimination, sexual violence and abuse, and teen pregnancy;
(c) Physical, social and emotional changes in adolescents;
(d) Children’s and women’s rights;
(e) Fertility awareness;
(f) STI, HIV and AIDS;
(g) Population and development;
(h) Responsible relationship;
(i) Family planning methods;
(j) Proscription and hazards of abortion;
(k) Gender and development; and
(l) Responsible parenthood.

  1. hmmmmmmmm i like you to be my gf…. something nice will happen every night

  2. Hi Heckler,
    I don’t agree with RH Bill. Though I never thought that they would kill babies, you are right there is nothing there that is about killing babies.

The pro is just using celebrities and anti are old grudgy priests so dito-na-ako-sa-sikat syndrome will occur.

    I want to post an article about this on my blog but I need to weigh the information. Both parties have all their points, really good points. We can not focus on the good stuff, things created by man is flawed, there is always side effects.

    Good Job on your Blog!

    • Thanks so much for your comment, Eneza! I’d love to know more about your views on the bill and the way the government is pushing for it. It’s always good to hear from someone who doesn’t agree with the bill and yet speaks reasonably, without name calling 🙂 I look forward to reading your post on the RH bill–hope you publish it soon!
