Cleaning a yoga mat

Unrolling a yoga mat on the ground, carrying it around, lying down on it, and even sweating on it can really turn your mat grubby. Unfortunately, I don’t always have time to unroll the mat and soap and scrub it clean, since it takes a while for it to get dry, not to mention the slippery feeling it gets after a good washing. I figured spraying it instead with something to disinfect it can be a pretty good alternative.

I have plans to go to Beabi soon to get me one of their spray bottles, which I will then fill with warm water, a bit of white vinegar, then lavender and peppermint essential oils, and maybe toss in some mint leaves, too. Until then, I’ve decided to get a bottle of Human Nature’s Citrus Burst All-Natural Spray Sanitizer. It smells nice and fresh, plus, it makes a nice hand sanitizer, too.

What do you use to keep your mat clean?
