Tubero

So you learn something new every day, and it’s especially interesting if it’s completely out of nowhere.

Here in the Philippines, signs saying “Tubero – (guy’s name) – (mobile number)” is a pretty common sight. I never thought much of them, thinking that they really were put up by plumbers who are trying to drum up more business, along with those announcing “Lipat Bahay” and “Electrician” services. And tonight, I found out that the signs aren’t really promoting plumbing services, but rather *coughs* “plumbing services.” This post here might make things clearer if it’s still a little foggy to you. But dear gods, I will never look at those signs the same way.
