Discovering new music
The past year and a half has been all about One Direction for me. I’m not even kidding when I say that I can’t go a day without listening to their songs. I can’t help it, they just sound so fun and their music makes me feel the way I probably should have felt when I was a teenager. Plus, I am mad about Zayn Malik 1. There. I admitted it on this blog. And yet I know I can’t survive on 1D alone, which was why I had a look around CD Baby this morning to check if there’s anything worth buying, yes, buying.
I had Carsie Blanton‘s “Ain’t It Green” on my wishlist for a while and finally decided to get it. Then I ended up getting her two other albums. And somehow I wound up buying music by The Mollies and discovering Minnutes and Dana Alexandra. I also bought one of Kelsey Rottiers‘ albums, specifically Kelsey Rottiers & The Rising Tide.
I have never bought so much music in one day. I love it.
I wish I had the ability to write about music and deliver solid critiques of what I bought today. But all I’m capable of is writing about how their music makes me feel, and all I can say is that they make me feel like a sunny day.
