While hanging out with a group of women earlier, the conversation turned to our ages. Some of them readily shared how old they were, while others put on that hesitantly coy look and skirted around the issue. It’s an interesting thing, women’s tendency to refuse to disclose their ages. Is it a learned behavior? Are some women really ashamed to reveal how old they are, or were they simply conditioned to think and feel that way? Does this stem from a fear of people’s reactions? “Oh no, if I say I’m 38, maybe they’ll be shocked and think that I look too old for 38.” Answers must be had!
